Dr. Konstantinos Papazoglou, Ph.D., C.Psych.

Clinical & Forensic Psychologist

Founder & Director

Dr. Konstantinos Papazoglou is a licensed psychologist with the College of Psychologists, Ontario, in the areas of clinical and forensic/correctional psychology. His primary theoretical approach to treatment is cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and clinical hypnosis. He has a diverse practice that includes clinical and forensic/correctional work, evaluation, and treatment of psychological issues related to first responders, workplace accidents, and motor vehicle accidents.

In addition, Dr. Konstantinos Papazoglou is the founder and director of ProWellness Inc., a division of his psychology professional corporation, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and the vice-president and the principal founder of the POWER Project: A non-profit public benefit corporation in San Diego, California, USA. He recently completed his appointment as a postdoctoral scholar at Yale University School of Medicine.


He earned his doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in psychology (clinical - forensic area) as Vanier Scholar at the University of Toronto (UofT) and he holds a master’s degree in applied psychology from New York University (NYU) as Onassis Scholar. He has established research collaboration with many law enforcement agencies in the US, Canada, and Europe.


He has published more than 80 scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters. He recently published the POWER book (published by Elsevier) and he currently works on the POWER manual aimed to get published by the American Psychological Association.


In addition, he presented his research work (more than 100 presentations) in many scientific venues (e.g., American Psychological Association, Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences) and received many awards (e.g., American Psychological Association – Criminal Justice Section Outstanding Doctoral Research Award; American Psychological Foundation – Levinson Scholarship Award; American Psychological Association – Police and Public Safety Section - Outstanding Doctoral Research Award in Police and Public Safety; American Security Today – Homeland Security Platinum Award).


He has served as an ad hoc reviewer in academic journals (e.g., Frontiers, Journal of Occupational Health Psychology, Journal of Police and Criminal Psychology, International Journal of Stress Management, PlosOne, Psychological Trauma) and as an expert reviewer in research grants (e.g., National Science Foundation – NSF, National Institute of Justice - NIJ).


Furthermore, he conducted workshops and presented to numerous government agencies in the US, Canada, and Europe (e.g., FLETC – Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, Federal Police University of Germany, Police University College of Finland, Trainer the Trainers Seminar – European Police College, Canada Department of National Defense – Research Centre, Ontario Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services, etc.).


He also worked as a clinical forensic psychologist with the Ontario Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services providing clinical services (assessment and treatment) to criminal justice offenders.
