Irene Papazoglou, MSW, RSW

Irene Papazoglou is the clinical manager at ProWellness. She is in charge of overseeing the day-to-day management of the company and staff. Irene holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto and is a registered social worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.

Julia Missio, HBsc

Julia graduated with high distinction from the University of Toronto in 2021 with an Honours Bachelor of Science. At the University of Toronto, she completed a double major in Psychology and Criminology & Sociolegal Studies. Since graduating, she has gained invaluable experience working with medical-legal assessments, and drafting documents and forms for medical doctors. 

 

Her areas of interest include forensic psychology and the intersection between psychological disorders and the criminal justice system. She aspires to become a forensic psychologist. 

​

At ProWellness Inc., Julia provides administrative and operational assistance to the clinical director. She assists in coordination between the director and the associates, and she ensures that files and schedules are organized. She also administers psychological scales under supervision of the clinical director. 

 

She hopes that her contributions to ProWellness Inc. promote an organized and professional environment in which patients feel welcomed and satisfied with their psychological services.

Yunshi (Christy) Huang

Psychological Associate in Clinical Psychology (Supervised Practice) 

Christy is a Psychological Associate in supervised practice, registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO). She is also a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario (CRPO). She holds a Master of Psychology from Adler Graduate Professional School and holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology and economics from University of Toronto.

 

She believes in a client-centered and evidence-based approach, tailoring her methods to meet the unique needs of each individual she works with. She sees therapy as a collaborative process, a safe space where growth, resilience, and positive change can flourish. Over the past 7 years, she has been working with individuals impacted by motor-vehicle accidents. She has experience addressing a variety of issues, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, phobias, pain management, and family and relationship conflicts. She uses a variety of techniques, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Exposure Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy.

Flaviana Scopelliti

M.Psy. - Clinical Therapist

Flaviana Scopelliti offers different services under the supervision of Dr. Konstantinos Papazoglou. She obtained two master's degrees in Clinical and Forensic Psychology from the University of Turin and Pegasus University in Italy. She has extensive experience in delivering neuropsychological assessments and therapeutic services for both adults and children in clinical and private settings. Specializing in developmental disorders, anxiety, stress reduction and trauma, Flaviana employs Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques to effectively address her clients' needs.

As a clinician, Flaviana has worked in cohort settings to provide assessments and mediation services for children and families involved in divorce proceedings, parental capacity evaluations, custody disputes, and assessments of psychological damage. She applies evidence-based practices to ensure the highest standard of care in these sensitive cases.

Dr. Rex Jose Joseph is a Clinical Psychologist in supervised practice, providing comprehensive mental health services to clients across Ontario. With a PhD in Clinical Psychology awarded in 2019 from Pondicherry University, India, Rex draws from his extensive academic background and clinical expertise to tailor his therapeutic approach to each client's unique needs.

As a first-generation immigrant with roots in Kerala, India, Rex has a deep understanding of the nuances of both collectivist and individualistic cultures. This multicultural perspective enables him to guide clients through the complexities of their relationships and personal challenges, fostering a therapeutic environment that respects and integrates cultural diversity.

Amin Mohammadi, BSc, RP(Q)

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

I am a registered psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and currently completing post-master's clinical hours towards registration as a Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologist's of Ontario (CPO). I am currently finishing up my Master of Psychology thesis requirements at Adler Graduate Professional School and have previously earned my Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto with majors in Psychology and Genetics. 

 

I believe that an authentic connection built on mutual trust, empathy and understanding is the bedrock of a fruitful therapeutic relationship. My practice is based on a client-centered, strength- based approach and takes on a psychoeducational perspective in order to help my clients explore and achieve their true potential. Dependent on my client's specific needs and goals, I utilize aspects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Adlerian, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy based on a humanistic, existential and positive psychology framework. Denise Mariani

Registered Psychotherapist

Denise Mariani is a registered psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) since 2018. She completed her Masters in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. Denise provides individual and family counseling to adolescents ages 12-18 and adults. Her area of focus includes anxiety, depression, PTSD, C-PTSD, trauma, self-harm and suicide ideation, substance use, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, chronic pain, life transitional issues, and MVA. Denise focuses on utilizing a variety of therapy modulates, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness and EMDR.

 

Denise strives to create a warm and compassionate environment for the client, one that fosters a strong therapeutic approach. Trust, empathy and communication are essential ingredients to creating a safe place for change. Meeting the client where they are at is very important in fostering client strength and motivation. Therapy is provided in a comfortable, authentic and compassionate environment. Working collaboratively with the client is essential.

Mahta Kakvan

M.A., M.Ed., (Doctoral student) at OISE/University of Toronto

I am a doctoral candidate in Counseling Psychology and Psychotherapy at University of Toronto and a Registered Psychotherapist (qualifying). I hold two master’s degree in Counselling Psychology (M.Ed) and Developmental Psychology (M.A) from University of Toronto, and York University, respectively. I have earned a Specialized Honours Bachelor of Science (Spec.Honours.BSc) in Psychology from York University. Concurrent with my position as a psychotherapist at ProWellness, I work as a Psychometrist and Clinical Research Analyst at Toronto Western Hospital where I conduct a broad range of psychological assessments and explore the impact of a specific medical condition on cognitive functioning.

 

My area of focus and expertise in counseling and psychotherapy include Trauma (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder – PTSD), Anxiety, Depression, Low Self-Esteem, Anger and Emotion Regulation, Grief and Loss as well as conducting Psychological Assessments.

 

My past therapy experiences that enriched my counseling skills include providing support to suicide survivors as a grief facilitator. Furthermore, my clinical involvement at Toronto Rehabilitation Institution (TRI) with athletes who experienced multiple concussions and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) honed my skills in conducting neuropsychological assessment. In my recent clinical practicum at Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) in University of Toronto, I had the great opportunity to work with clients from diverse minority groups including LGBTQ+ and immigrants who presented broad range of issues such as sexual abuse, vicarious trauma, anxiety, and depression.

 

My professional experience coupled with my personal experience as a first-generation immigrant, has shaped my motivation to become a culturally-competent therapist and inclusive of diverse ethnicity, sexuality, gender, and social status in my practice. My therapeutic style is warm, empathic, non-judgmental, and collaborative. I advocate that each client deserves individualized care, which can address their unique needs and goals. Therefore, I tailor treatment to each client’s particular needs by drawing primarily on Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical behaviour Therapy (DBT). My goal as a therapist is to establish an authentic alliance with my clients and create a safe space where they can feel heard, supported, and validated. In our journey together, I help my clients identify their distressing thought patterns, navigate their emotional processes, and develop effective coping skills. 

Saad S Khan, M.A., R.P.(Q)

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

I am a registered psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario  (CRPO). I hold a BSc Honours in Kinesiology and Health Sciences, with a minor in Psychology, from York University, following which I completed a Masters in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I am also an active member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).

 

I have extensive experience in addressing trauma, depression, and anxiety-related issues. I utilize a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Narrative Therapy, in supporting my clients’ growth and journey to resilience.

 

Having worked and volunteered in various mental health facilities, including hospitals and clinics, as well as being a Medic in the Canadian Armed Forces - Reserves, I have been able to see the various effects of trauma, burnout, inter/intra-personal conflicts, and more, amongst individuals. I have had the opportunity to serve a wide demographic including veterans, law enforcement personnel, first responders, healthcare workers, amputees, and many more.

Alex Ho, M.Psy.

Devanshi Sharma

Devanshi is a Psychological Associate in supervised practice, serving clients across Ontario. She draws from her international training and clinical expertise to develop a therapeutic approach that is uniquely tailored to your individual needs.

 

Devanshi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master’s of Science in Counselling and Family Therapy, a Master’s of Arts in Clinical Psychology, and a Master’s of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology.

 

Devanshi identifies herself as a first-generation immigrant of Indian descent. She has spent a significant part of her life in India and has also lived in the United Kingdom. She understands both the collectivist and the individualistic cultures well and draws from these experiences to best serve help her clients navigate the complexities of their relationships, including the multicultural aspects.

 

Devanshi’s clients appreciate her approach to understanding a clients’ background and the current challenges they are facing by learning about their history, using testing and assessments where necessary, and forming a personalized therapeutic plan, specifically tailored to each individual client’s needs. Devanshi enjoys working with adults and young adults who are both neurotypical and neurodiverse. Parent coaching and parent support is geared towards helping parents understand their children’s difficulties as well as how to respond and support their children in ways that draws upon the parent as valuable resources to their children.

Dr. Divya provides counselling and psychotherapy to individual adults. She frequently integrates mindfulness-based techniques to support her client’s needs to cope better with their mental health concerns.

Dr. Divya completed her Ph.D. in Psychology at Panjab University, Chandigarh, India and is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She has worked extensively with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, autism, and ADHD. She has previous experience working in hospitals, schools, and private practice. She provides services in English and Hindi.

Dr. Tulika Anand, PhD, CPsych

Clinical Psychologist (Supervised Practice)

Dr. Tulika Anand, Ph.D., is a Clinical Psychologist in supervised practise and is a registered member of the College of Psychologist of Ontario (CPO) in the areas of Clinical Psychology. She is also a proud member of the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) and the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Dr. Tulika obtained her Doctoral degree from India, after completing her Masters in Clinical Psychology. She has extensive experience in assessing and treating a wide range of mental health problems with multicultural clientele.

 

Dr. Tulika’s passion is in assisting individuals who have experienced traumatic or stressful events. She provides psychotherapy and counseling services to adults to help them develop positive self-perceptions, strengthen their relationships, and live the fulfilling lives they desire. She is well known for her interactive, warm, non-judgmental, and accepting approach, which creates a safe therapeutic environment for her clients.

Iqra Iqbal Tariq, MS in Clinical Psychology

Iqra Iqbal Tariq  completed her MS in Clinical Psychology at Government College University (GCU), Lahore, Pakistan and is eligible to complete her post masters work experience with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Her areas of interest include Adult Psychotherapy, Forensic Psychology and Couple Counseling.
